Buying Used Heavy Equipment for Export — What You Need to Know

Sourcing used construction machinery from Europe gives buyers in Africa, India, and the Middle East access to well-maintained, low-hour machines at a fraction of the cost of new equipment. European contractors retire equipment at 8,000–12,000 hours — far below the useful life of a well-built machine. At Negev Machinery, we source from 200+ verified dealers across Germany, the Netherlands, France, Spain, and the UK.

Why European-Sourced Equipment?

European emission regulations (Stage V) have driven a large wave of machine retirements since 2019. This has created an exceptional supply of Stage IIIB and IV machines — built for heavy-duty work but no longer viable for European operators. These are the same machines running projects across Sub-Saharan Africa, India, and South-East Asia today.

What to Check Before Buying

Engine hours are the primary indicator of a used machine's remaining life, but they only tell part of the story. Application matters — a 6,000-hour machine used on light earthworks is in better condition than a 4,000-hour machine run on rock. Our inspection reports document hours, application history, hydraulic condition, undercarriage wear (for tracked machines), and structural integrity. You receive photographs and a written assessment before any commitment.

CIF Pricing Explained

CIF (Cost, Insurance & Freight) means one number covers the machine, sea freight to your nominated port, and marine insurance. You handle import duties and local customs clearance from there. Every quote we issue is CIF — no freight surprises after you've committed. See our shipping and logistics page for transit times by region.
